asked the Minister for the Environment the amount allocated to each county under the local improvements scheme for years 1984, 1985 and 1986; and the number of outstanding applications for each county at present.

The administration of the local improvements scheme is devolved to local authorities. The selection of projects to be undertaken under the scheme is entirely a matter for the authorities. Information regarding the number of outstanding applications at present on hands in each county is not available in my Department.
