The harbour development work which I have approved for Burtonport is the dredging of the harbour area and its approaches. The work will be carried out by contract based on competitive tender. In such cases it is not policy to disclose the cost estimate. Commencement of the work depends on suitability of weather conditions and the availability of funds.
