Vol. 370 No. 9

Written Answers. - Tax-Free Allowance.

140.

asked the Minister for Finance the correct tax-free allowance in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who is single; whether a refund of tax paid is due to him; and, if so, when this will be paid.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an amended tax-free allowance certificate, incorporating all the allowances and reliefs to which the taxpayer is entitled, will be issued to him shortly. This certificate supersedes an incorrect certificate which was issued on 19 November 1986. Any refund due will be made by the taxpayer's employer on operation of the amended certificate.
