Vol. 370 No. 11

Written Answers. - Limerick Road Grants.

41.

asked the Minister for the Environment because of the fact that Limerick County Council may not be able to go ahead with the Croagh/Rathkeale by-pass as planned for early 1987, if he will allow the moneys planned for this by-pass project to be used for main road development in other parts of County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The level of road grants to be provided for the Croagh/Rathkeale by-pass and other national road improvement projects in County Limerick in 1987 will be decided, following determination of the Exchequer provision for road improvement grants in the context of the budget for the year, in the light of the state of preparedness of the local authority to proceed with them and their relative priority in the national context.
