The employment of cleaners in Government Departments is done on a Departmental basis, each Department being responsible for its own arrangements subject to instructions in relation to the role of the National Manpower Service which require that names for consideration are submitted by that service.
In the Department of the Public Service no cleaner was recruited in 1985/1986.
