190.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received a communication from Limerick Corporation in relation to the building known as Troys Lock-House on the Grand Canal Limerick; if in view of the corporation's sentiments he will now agree to hand over this building to the Limerick and District Anglers' Association and the Plassey Boatmen who have made a very significant contribution to the provision of sporting and recreational facilities in the area for local and tourist interests and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Commissioners of Public Works have received an offer from Limerick Corporation for the purchase of Troy's Lock-House which they propose to accept. When the property has been transferred to the corporation they will utilise it as they see fit.
