The person concerned applied to participate in the enterprise scheme on 7 July 1986 and duly commenced on 21 July 1986. Before entering the scheme, he had been drawing pay-related benefit and he had not exhausted his entitlement to it. Under the enterprise scheme, he applied on 9 September 1986 to capitalise this benefit for the purpose of assisting him in financing essential start-up costs of his enterprise. The application has now been approved and payment will issue shortly.
