Vol. 370 No. 13

Written Answers. - Redundancy Payments.

303.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will make a statement concerning redundancy payments for a firm (details supplied) in Dublin 12, now in receivership.

Applications for payment of statutory redundancy lump sums were received by my Department on 3 December 1986 in respect of seven former employees of the company who were made redundant by the Receiver on 2 December 1986. Payments of their lump sums were made to all the seven employees from the Redundancy and Employers' Insolvency Fund on 10 December 1986.

I understand that the remainder of the employees of the company did not have sufficient service to qualify for statutory redundancy lump sum payments.
