Vol. 370 No. 13

Written Answers. - House Usage Approval.

21.

asked the Minister for Health the reason for the long delay in granting approval for the use of a house (details supplied) in Dublin 9 by St. Michael's House; and if he will undertake to give immediate approval and the finance required for the opening and staffing of these premises.

The house to which the Deputy refers was opened in 1982 as a hostel for mentally handicapped adults and is still fully operational. The cost of running this hostel is included in the overall expenditure of St. Michael's House for purposes of calculating the annual allocation from my Department.
