asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the statutory bodies currently under the aegis of his Department; the total number of persons other than civil servants appointed by him to these bodies; the number of such persons whose current address is outside the State; and the total number of such persons with current addresses within each separate county in the State.

The statutory bodies under the aegis of my Department are as follows:

An Chomhairle Leabharlanna

Local Government Computer Services Board

National Building Agency

Rent Tribunal

Housing Finance Agency

Local Government Staff Negotiations Board

Fire Services Council

Fire Prevention Council

Custom House Docks Development Authority

Irish Water Safety Association

Water Pollution Advisory Council

An Bord Pleanála

National Road Safety Association

Medical Bureau of Road Safety.

The total number of persons other than civil servants appointed by the Minister for the Environment is 137. None of these has an address outside the State. The numbers of such persons with current addresses in each county is as follows:

Carlow, 2; Cavan, 1; Clare, 1; Cork, 12; Donegal, 1; Dublin, 72; Galway, 7; Kerry, 3; Kildare, 3; Kilkenny, 3; Laois, 3; Limerick, 1; Louth, 2; Meath, 3; Offaly, 5; Sligo, 2; Tipperary, 1; Waterford, 5; Westmeath, 1; Wexford, 3; Wicklow, 6.

Apart from those bodies referred to in the reply to Question No. 654 the following are advisory bodies under the aegis of my Department.

An Foras Forbartha

Environment Awareness Bureau.

The total number of persons other than civil servants appointed by the Minister for the Environment is 29. None of these has an address outside the State. The numbers of such persons with current addresses in each county is as follows:

Dublin, 18; Cork, 2; Kerry, 1; Kildare, 1; Limerick, 3; Meath, 1; Tipperary, 1; Wexford, 1; Wicklow, 1.
