Vol. 370 No. 13

Written Answers. - Union Hall, County Cork.

143.

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry if he will designate Union Hall, County Cork, as a recognised herring fisheries landing port, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Following consultation with the fishing industry, a number of harbours were designated as recognised landing ports for herring caught during the Celtic Sea herring season. Union Hall was not among the ports agreed and I have, therefore, no proposals for its inclusion.
