This is essentially a matter for Corrib Airport Limited, the company which owns Carnmore Airport. The company has recently invited tenders for the lighting contract at the airport but I cannot indicate a timescale for the installation until the tenders have been evaluated and a contract placed.
I have recently approved a further State grant of £62,500 for Carnmore Airport to enable the promoters to install the runway lighting. This grant will bring the level of State support for the airport to £1 million.
