asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will receive payment of her house improvement grant as she is an old age pensioner and paying a high rate of interest on her bridging loan which she cannot afford.

Payment of a grant will be further considered on receipt of the inspector's report relating to the final inspection of the works carried out.

asked the Minister for the Environment if payment of a house improvement grant will be made before Christmas to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

Information regarding the payment of a £5,000 "surrender" grant in relation to the house, the subject of the application, is being sought from the local authority concerned before further consideration can be given to the payment of a house improvement grant in this case.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an inspection for a house improvement grant will be carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if prior notification can be given.

An inspection, by appointment, will be arranged on return of the application form which had to be sent to the applicant as it had not been fully completed.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite payment of a £2,000 new house grant plus a £3,000 subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been fulfilled. The inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks.

Payment of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will not arise until 12 months loan repayments have been made and the applicant submits to the Department the appropriate claim form, certified by the relevant lending agency.

Payment of a new house grant will be made within the next few weeks. Approval of the mortgage subsidy was issued recently.

The approval of a new house grant and mortgage subsidy will be considered when the documentation requested from the applicant has been received.

Following a recent inspection it has been established that the house is not yet complete or occupied. Certificates of provisional approval to the grant and subsidy have now been issued and a further inspection with a view to payment of the grant will be arranged when notification is received that all work is completed and the house occupied.
