Vol. 370 No. 14

Written Answers. - Repayments on Boatyards.

93.

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry if repayments on boatyards that were sold to private companies are at present up-to-date; if not the total amount of money outstanding in each boatyard; and the action he proposes to take to recover such money.

I am informed by An Board Iascaigh Mhara that two of the boatyards have gone into voluntary liquidation; only one of the boatyards is, therefore, still trading under the ownership of the company who purchased it from the board. On grounds of confidentiality, it is not possible to provide the information sought in respect of an individual company. The recovery of outstanding money is a matter for the board.
