Vol. 370 No. 15

Written Answers. - Portmarnock, Dublin, New School.

169.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the chronic need for places for second-level education in Portmarnock; and the action he has taken to honour the commitment given that a second post-primary school would be available in Portmarnock in 1987.

I am fully aware of the need for places for second level education in Portmarnock.

The first essential for the provision of a new school is the acquisition of a site. The acquisition of a suitable site has proved extremely difficult in this case but is being pursued actively by my Department.
