asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be re-issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The payable order in respect of this grant was re-issued on 5 March 1987.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £2,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will expedite this matter as all the works are complete.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all conditions applying to the grant scheme have been fulfilled. The inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks.

A grant cannot be allowed as, contrary to a condition of the scheme, the applicant has not occupied the house as his normal place of residence.

An inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks with a view to the approval of a grant.

Payment of the grant has had to be deferred pending receipt of additional information relating to the carrying out of the work which has been requested from the applicant.

The grant has been paid.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having an inspection for a house grant carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The application was rejected as, contrary to a condition of the scheme, work had commenced prior to the Department's inspector visiting the house. The applicant was so informed last July.
