Vol. 371 No. 5

Written Answers. - Offaly Wood.

88.

asked the Minister for the Marine if he is aware that Derrygunnigan Wood, Killeigh, Tullamore, County Offaly is to be totally felled; if his permission was sought for the cutting of these trees; if so, if permission was granted; and if any alternative trees are being planted in the event of permission having been granted.

Felling and thinning operations at Derrygunnigan Wood are being carried out in accordance with the terms of a general felling licence issued by my Department. Replanting with deciduous and broadleaf trees will be carried out when these operations have been completed.
