An inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks to establish whether the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions of the grant scheme have been fulfilled.

There was no delay in the case. Grants amounting to £4,800 were paid on 22 January 1987 in respect of bathroom (£800), extension (£2,000) and fabric/windows and doors (£2,000). A grant cannot be allowed under the pre-1940 dwellings category as the estimated cost of eligible repairs was less than the minimum amount of £4,000 necessary to qualify for a grant under this category.
