Funding was provided under the NMS teamwork scheme for a number of projects carried out under the aegis of "Ballymun Together". As an exceptional measure, special permission was granted to enable participants to be employed for a further three months after they had completed a year on the project, while investigations into alternative sources of funding were being pursued. These inquiries are continuing.
There have been consultations between the group, the NMS and the Youth Employment Agency have had meetings with the group.
