Vol. 371 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowance.

32.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the small tax free allowance of persons (details supplied) in County Meath.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that, on the basis of information available at this time, it is unlikely that the taxpayer's total income from all sources for 1987-88 will exceed the relevent exemption limit and, therefore, he is not expected to be liable to income tax for that year. The tax-free allowance certificate which was issued to the taxpayer on 2 March 1987 will give effect to the exemption from tax.
