Vol. 371 No. 7

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

22.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) in County Waterford did not receive a tax rebate.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that there is no repayment of tax due in this case. According to their records the taxpayer ceased employment on 30 September 1985 and has not been employed since that date. Tax totalling £152.66, which had been over-deducted from her earnings for the year 1985-86, has been refunded to her.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who submitted his claim several months ago.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's liabilities to tax for the years 1982-83 to 1985-86 have been reviewed following the recent receipt of the necessary details of pay and tax deducted. A net overpayment has emerged and a cheque in settlement will be issued to the taxpayer as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer ceased employment on 5 October 1986 and submitted a claim for repayment of tax. A cheque in respect of all the tax deducted during 1986-87 was issued to him on 19 January 1987.
