A reduction in the average pupil-teacher ratio has, therefore, been achieved at primary level in this period.
With regard to the increase in the average pupil teacher ratio at post-primary level this derives from the decision in relation to the pupil teacher ratio effective from the commencement of the 1983-84 school year.
