asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will now pay a monetary compensatory amount due to a person (details supplied) in County Antrim; and if not, the reason.

The position in regard to claims on hand from the person in County Antrim (name supplied) for monetary compensatory amount payments is as follows:—

Value of claims which are at present bring processed and which will be paid, shortly, £4,383; Value of claims in respect of which the essential supporting customs documentation has been returned to the Customs authorities for amendment, £5,059; Value of claims which are being investigated by my Department in relation to the weights declared on the supporting documentation £34,880.

Payment of the outstanding claims will be further examined upon receipt of the amended customs documentation or, as appropriate, upon completion of the investigations in relation to weights.
