Vol. 372 No. 4

Written Answers. - Dental Services.

194.

asked the Minister for Health the proposals, if any, he has to speed up dental services, especially for children requiring orthodontic treatment and who have to wait for five or six years before they can be treated.

In my recent letter to the health boards informing them of their allocations for 1987, I asked the boards to protect community care services and to confine savings to other areas of health expenditure. I will be consulting with the Irish Dental Association on the future of the services soon.
