Vol. 372 No. 4

Written Answers. - Payment of Fees.

53.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount of fees outstanding and unpaid by his Department and each semi-State body, local authority or health board under the aegis of his Department, to architects, quantity surveyors, consulting engineers at 30 April 1987 giving a breakdown showing the length of time for which the various fees are outstanding and unpaid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There are no fees currently due by my Department in respect of professional services provided by architects, quantity surveyors or consulting engineers. In so far as the semi-State bodies under the aegis of my Department are concerned the payment of professional fees is part of the day-to-day management functions of the boards of these bodies in which I do not intervene.
