Vol. 372 No. 10

Written Answers. - Army Disability Pension.

243.

asked the Minister for Defence if an Army disability pension will be granted to a person in Dublin 8 (details supplied) and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Limerick West): The person referred to by the Deputy was examined by the Army Pensions Board, which is the statutory body appointed to report on claims for disability pensions by former members of the Permanent Defence Force. The board found that the applicant did not satisfy the conditions for the award of a pension.

As the findings of the board are final and conclusive, I regret that I have no authority to award a pension in this case.
