Vol. 372 No. 10

Written Answers. - Income Tax Refund.

43.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement regarding the tax refund of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9; and the measures which may be taken in his situation.

I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that they have been presented with conflicting information by the person concerned and by the firm regarding the precise status of the person during the period he was working with the firm. Tax under PAYE in respect of the person has not been remitted by the firm to the Revenue for that period. The inspector will have to pursue further inquiries into this matter in order to determine whether or not the person concerned is entitled to a tax refund under PAYE.
