Vol. 372 No. 10

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

97.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in carrying out a primary inspection for a house improvement grant on the house of a person (details supplied) in County Meath; when the premises will be inspected; and when she will receive written approval of the grant.

The application was covered by the dispensation from the prior inspection requirement announced in February 1986 and notification issued to the applicant authorising her to proceed with the work in respect of which the application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when she applied for the grant. While there is no record that the applicant subsequently requested prior inspection this will now be arranged.

98.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and when payment will be made.

There has been no undue delay. The grant will be paid as soon as possible.
