asked the Minister for the Environment when a £5,000 surrender grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Applications for the £5,000 surrender grant are handled by local authorities up to the stage of certification for payment. The appropriate certificate has not been received in the Department.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork and the reason it has not been paid even though the certificate of completion has been submitted since January 1987.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible. It was necessary to obtain further information from the applicant in connection with the carrying out of the works.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment if payment of a £5,000 surrender grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick as requested by Limerick County Council and Limerick Corporation.

Confirmation that this applicant has complied with the conditions of the scheme has recently been received from the local authority and the grant will be paid as soon as possible.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. However, an application was received from a person with a slightly different name from a broadly similar address. In that case notification of completion of the work and certain information already requested from the applicant have not been received.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named in respect of the address given. However, an application was received from a person with a slightly different surname from the same address. In that case notification of completion of the work has not been received.
