The application was made under the 1981 scheme of grants. A grant cannot be allowed for the facilities to which the application relates as they existed in the house. Neither can a grant be allowed for the provision of an extension under the terms of the 1981 scheme.

There is no record of the receipt of an application under the 1985 house improvement grants scheme from the person named. An application under the 1981 scheme had to be refused as the particular works had been commenced prior to inspection.

A new house grant cannot be allowed as the floor area of the house exceeds the statutory limit.

The application in this case is in respect of a mortgage subsidy only. The second instalment of the subsidy will be paid within the next few weeks.

Following inspection certain grants have been approved. A further inspection will be carried out as soon as possible with a view to the payment of the grants subject to the applicant, as requested, submitting evidence of planning permission for the sewerage installation.
