Written Answers. - Clonakilty (Cork) Schemes.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether he will now sanction the scheme submitted by Clonakilty Urban District Council for bathroom extensions to three houses at Old Chapel Lane, Clonakilty, County Cork and a house at Casement Street, Clonakilty, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for the Environment when sanction for the scheme submitted by Clonakilty Urban Council on 22 October 1986, will be granted requesting bathroom extensions for three houses (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 173 and 208 together.

Clonakilty Urban District Council are at present reconsidering preliminary proposals submitted to my Department in respect of these dwellings. Following the submission of the revised proposals I will have them examined and will convey a decision in the matter to the council in due course.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether he will now approve the proposals of Clonakilty Urban District Council for a five house scheme at Scartagh, Clonakilty, County Cork.

asked the Minister for the Environment when approval for a scheme submitted by Clonakilty Urban Council on the 15 June 1986 will be granted for the erection of five new houses at Scartagh, Clonakilty, County Cork; and if he will make a statement regarding the delay in issuing same.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 174 and 207 together.

Proposals for this housing scheme are under consideration at present and a decision will be conveyed to the local authority in due course. There has been no avoidable delay in dealing with this scheme.
