Vol. 372 No. 11

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Payments.

103.

asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 did not receive disabled person's maintenance allowance for the two weeks from 28 September to 17 October; and if this can be rectified.

The payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for determination by the health board concerned, having regard to all the relevant circumstances in that case.

Disabled person's maintenance allowance is payable to eligible persons with effect from the date of application. Payments are not made in respect of any period prior to the date of application and an exception could not be made in this case.
