I have no function in relation to the award of contracts for construction activity in the Custom House Docks area. It is the general duty of the Custom House Docks Development Authority under the Urban Renewal Act, 1986, to secure the redevelopment of the Custom House Docks area and, for that purpose, the authority is empowered to develop, redevelop or secure the development or redevelopment of land in the area. The initiation or approval of any particular development project in the area is a matter for the authority.
