Vol. 373 No. 2

Written Answers. - Lough Key (Roscommon) Forest Park Admission Charge.

95.

asked the Minister for Energy if his attention has been drawn to the doubling of charges for admission to Lough Key Forest Park, Boyle, County Roscommon; if in view of the excellent tourist potential of this park if he will reduce the charges.

The doubling of charges for parking of cars and buses in Lough Key Forest Park were imposed by the previous Government in its decision on the Estimates for 1987. These charges are a very small contribution to the annual expenditure incurred on the maintenance of services in the park. I do not propose, therefore, to reduce such charges.
