asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food in view of the widespread unrest among horticultural producers caused by the exclusion of a member of the commercial horticultural producers from An Bord Glas if he will include a board member from the commercial horticultural producers as soon as possible.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 76 and 78 together.
There are already a number of commercial horticultural producers on An Bord Glas who were selected on the basis of their ability to represent effectively the views of the sectors concerned. In addition, it is proposed to appoint a producer to represent the potato sector. In the circumstances, I feel that producer representation on the board is adequately catered for.
