Vol. 373 No. 10

Written Answers. - Judges Retirement Age.

29.

asked the Minister for Justice if he has satisfied himself with the present retirement age for judges.

The retirement ages for judges are provided for in legislation and, were any change deemed to be necessary, amending legislation would be required. It would not be appropriate for me to indicate in response to a parliamentary question whether any such legislation is contemplated by me.
