Vol. 374 No. 8

Written Answers. - Irish Red Cross Society.

27.

asked the Minister for Defence the reason for a 20 per cent reduction in the grant-in-aid for the Irish Red Cross Society; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Limerick West): The reduction is due to the fact that the refurbishment of the society's headquarters, which has been in progress since 1982, is now largely completed. I will make a statement in relation to the provision for the grant-in-aid of the Irish Red Cross Society when I bring my Department's Estimates for 1988 to the Dáil for approval.
