asked the Minister for Social Welfare the buildings and sites in the ownership of his Department; the location of same; if they are at present in use by his Department; if not, the use which is proposed for them; when it is envisaged to utilise the site or building; the proposals, if any, there are to dispose of the buildings or sites; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The only building of the Department's offices which is vested in the ownership of my Department is the main headquarters building at Aras Mhic Dhiarmada, Store Street, Dublin. Portion of this building is rented to CIE and serves as a provincial bus terminus and the remainder is fully occupied by departmental staff.

All other offices occupied by my Department are provided by the Office of Public Works.

There are no buildings or sites in the ownership of my Department. All matters relating to the purchase and ownership of any properties occupied by my Department are dealt with by the Office of Public Works on its behalf.
