There has been very substantial expenditure by my Department on Howth harbour in recent years. There are many fishery harbour works throughout the country which must get priority in the allocation of the limited funds available. Accordingly, it will not be possible to allocate funds for the provision of an auction hall at Howth for the foreseeable future.
