Vol. 374 No. 8

Written Answers. - National Social Service Board Functions.

81.

asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the administrative arrangements whereby the work formerly carried out by the National Social Service Board is now to be handled within the Department of Health; if he will give details of the number of people who are engaged exclusively or partially on the work formerly done by the National Social Service Board; and the way in which the work that was previously carried out by the board is now to be handled.

Details of the manner in which the support provided by the National Social Service Board to the community information centres will be carried out in the coming year are at present being processed by my Department in consultation with the health boards and other relevant agencies. The Deputy may be assured that the services provided under the aegis of the board this year will be maintained in the coming year.
