Vol. 374 No. 10

Written Answers. - Child Care Facilities.

84.

asked the Minister for Labour in view of the refusal of planning permission for the child care facilities for employees in his Department if he will indicate the proposals, if any, he has to provide alternative arrangements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This facility was set up by AnCO as a pilot project and has been in operation for ten months. Its future is for AnCO to decide. I understand that they are currently reviewing the matter and are considering the possibility of the creche being continued on a self-supporting private basis in alternative premises.
