Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

168.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment in respect of a new house grant will issue to persons (details supplied) in County Cork.

A new house grant and mortgage subsidy cannot be allowed, as contrary to a statutory condition of the scheme, the applicant has not occupied the house on completion as his normal place of residence.

169.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

A mortgage subsidy cannot be allowed as the application was received after 6 March 1987, which was the final date for the receipt of applications.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Louth in view of the fact that all information required has been forwarded.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 199 on 27 May 1987. There has been no change since the receipt of the information requested from the applicant in November 1986 is still awaited.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and when payment will be made.

There has been no undue delay; the £2,000 grant will be paid as soon as possible. The £2,250 "builders" grant will be approved when the National House Building Guarantee Company issues the guarantee certificate in respect of the house.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and the reason for the delay in payment.

Notification of the completion of certain works outstanding at the last inspection has not been received.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth, in view of the fact that all receipts were forwarded some time ago; and when payment will be made.

The receipt of certain information requested from the applicant is awaited.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a new house grant to persons (details supplied) in County Wicklow; and when payment will be made.

There has been no undue delay; the £2,000 new house grant will be paid as soon as possible. Payment of the £2,250 "builders" grant will be made to the builder of the house, in two instalments, in due course.

asked the Minister for the Environment the approximate month when payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

Notification of completion of the work has not been received.
