Vol. 375 No. 4

Written Answers. - Vandalism on DART Line.

92.

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport arising out of Parliamentary Question No. 42 of 20 October, 1987 and due to the seriousness of the on-going vandalism on the DART line caused mainly by trespass, if he will not give the date he intends to introduce legislation in this respect in Dáil Éireann.

The Transport Bill, 1987, which provides, inter alia, for considerably higher penalties for offences such as trespass on the railway, was circulated to Deputies this morning. It is my intention to have the Bill enacted within the next few weeks.
