Vol. 375 No. 4

Written Answers. - Rush (County Dublin) Silting.

137.

asked the Minister for the Marine if his attention has been drawn to complaints regarding the silting of the area, below the high water line, opposite the sailing slipway at Rogerstown estuary, Rush, County Dublin; and if he will make arrangements to have this silt removed and the area kept free as this area is the responsibility of the State.

I am not aware of any complaint about the silting of the area mentioned. The sailing slipway concerned is, I understand, privately owned. While the area adjacent to the slipway below the high water mark is State foreshore my responsibilities do not extend to the removal of silt therefrom.
