Vol. 375 No. 5

Written Answers. - Castlecomer (County Kilkenny) School.

103.

asked the Minister for Education the present stage of the Castlecomer school in County Kilkenny; if the local contributions have been paid; when work will commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Architectural planning of the new community school for Castlecomer is completed and tenders were received some time ago. However, it is not possible in the light of the capital restrictions for 1988, to allow work to proceed on this project.

The local contribution in respect of this school will not be payable until the new building is completed and a deed of trust signed.
