Vol. 375 No. 5

Written Answers. - Irish Productivity Centre.

34.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if it is his intention to make the Irish Productivity Centre fully self financing, in view of the reduction of 28 per cent in real terms in its financial allocation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Government has decided that the grant-in-aid for the Irish Productivity Centre should be phased out over the next three years and the reduction in their allocation for 1988 represents the first phase of this process. The implementation of measures to achieve self financing is a matter for the council of the IPC itself.
