Written Answers. - Consumer Legislation Review.

83.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if the Law Reform Commission have conducted any review of the operation of either the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980, or the Consumer Information Act, 1979; or if such a review is contemplated.

To date the Law Reform Commission has not conducted a review of the operation of the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980, or the Consumer Information Act, 1978. No review of either Act is planned, but the Deputy will be aware that certain amendments to the Acts are proposed in the Restrictive Practices (Amendment) Act, 1987, which is before the House.
