Vol. 375 No. 7

Written Answers. - Drogheda Cottage Hospital.

111.

asked the Minister for Health the proposals, if any, he has with regard to the Drogheda cottage hospital, County Louth; and the future of this hospital.

The future role of Drogheda cottage hospital is the subject of discussions between officers of my Department, the hospital authorities and officials of the North Eastern Health Board at present.

These discussions are taking place in the context of the review of the general hospital service which I initiated last May. While no definite conclusions have been reached, the possibility of the hospital changing its role is being examined in detail.
