Vol. 375 No. 8

Written Answers. - Temporary Staff.

75.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of temporary staff who are employed in his Department; the number of temporary building inspectors who are employed at present; when their contracts run out; the number who will be retained beyond that time; and the duties they will be assigned to.

At present there are 55 temporary staff engaged in my Department of whom two are temporary grant inspectors whose contracts expire at 31 December next. It is not possible to say at this stage if their services will be required beyond that time.
