Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a farm building grant which was passed for payment in August, 1987; and when payment will be made.

A claim under the farm modernisation scheme for payment of a grant has been received and will be paid as soon as practicable. All claims under the schemes are dealt with strictly in order of receipt. Due to existing budgetary constraints, there is some delay in making grant payments.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a land reclamation grant, passed for payment in July, 1987; and when he will receive payment of a farm building grant and a water supply grant, that was passed for payment in October, 1987.

Claims under the farm improvement programme for payment of grants totalling £7,323 in respect of land improvement, farm buildings, a farm roadway and water supply have been received and will be paid as soon as practicable. All claims under the programme are dealt with strictly in order of receipt. Due to existing budgetary constraints there is some delay in making grant payments.
